Look after your leather sofa

Birthdays come but once a year; and it's a good job too. Trying to think of something different when it comes to your kids is always a difficult task. Have you ever considered getting them to paint pottery? All kids love drawing and crayoning. What child doesn't like to get hold of a paintbrush and go around the house leaving a trail of destruction in their wake? This is particularly popular in Thailand, for example, where you'll see groups of children painting pottery figures while their parents get on with other tasks in peace. If you decide to give it a go at home, you will need to cover up those pieces of furniture that are at risk of a make over.

A black leather sofa is just sitting there pleading to be given a colour change; and I can guarantee you won't be pleased with the final result! What's more you'll have a hefty repair bill on your hands or even worse, a reduced bank balance when you have to replace it. So move everything that is not nailed to the floor out of harms way before you start. Transferring the whole routine outdoors is a better idea, temperature permitting, but you may have garden furniture that is also a likely candidate for a paint job. So shift that too. At the end of the day, it's only the plants and flowers that will be at risk and who knows your garden could be transformed for the better!
